GLOBAL RELEASE—Alt-pop singer-songwriter BIRDEE 王煒 is gearing up to release her latest electro-pop creation, Best Mistake I Never Made, via Disruptive Entertainment. In this compelling track, BIRDEE captures the essence of someone yearning for a second chance, despite a situation that seems beyond repair.

BIRDEE 王煒 explains, “‘Best Mistake I Never Made’ tells the story of a boy who sought another opportunity from me, one that I ultimately declined. While some may perceive it as a diss track, I view it as a testament to valuing one’s own well-defined boundaries. Often, we focus on the blunders we’ve committed, disregarding the errors we narrowly averted.”

The song begins with a mesmerizing and atmospheric soundscape, as BIRDEE 王煒 takes on a reflective stance, pondering the events of the past: “Could’ve had it all, but it slipped away, should’ve, but we didn’t try; you were the best mistake I never made.” The chorus swiftly follows, marked by an electronic urgency, robust synths, and pulsating kick drums, evoking a sense of euphoria akin to a close escape.

Following the release of her 2nd EP On My Own and its corresponding headline tour across various Australian cities, BIRDEE 王煒 is now gearing up for the Philippine leg of the tour from August 9 to August 12. Alongside her artistic pursuits, Birdee Sideris (BIRDEE 王煒) draws inspiration from her diverse heritage, hailing from Chinese, Greek, and Russian origins, to create her own distinctive sonic realm.
