For the past twenty-nine years, they screen hundreds of students from all over the country and all walks of life, who aspire to become scholars, and award 15 most worthy with full scholarships. This number was doubled this 2019 to celebrate their 30th year of partnership.

At present, the program has granted 379 scholarships and have produced 267 Medical Technology graduates, who continue to serve the Filipino public and do their part in nation-building.

“I believe that the best Medical Technologists are not born but made. They are made in the Philippines, and many of them are PAMET-Safeguard Scholars,” said PAMET President Ronnie Puno during the awarding ceremony at the Manila Peninsula.

The scholarship aims to not only to help students achieve their dreams of becoming medical technologists, but to eventually produce outstanding medical professionals that will serve the Philippines and its people through quality healthcare. “As we move on to a new decade, I look forward to seeing how medical technology can evolve from a profession to a driving force of innovation. I trust that with the guidance of Safeguard and PAMET, the scholars will take the profession to new heights. Tonight is just the beginning, and we are eager to see you at the finish line as full-fledged Safeguard medical technologists,” concluded Lester Estrada, P&G Philippines Country Marketing Director.
