St. Vincent Brings ‘Big Time Nothing’ Off Seventh Self-Produced Album ‘All Born Screaming’

GLOBAL RELEASE—Fresh off its recent release, “Big Time Nothing,” the third song to come from St. Vincent’s feverishly anticipated “All Born Screaming”, is out now. The track features a precarious balance of ennui and urgency underpinned by brainworm basslines.

“Big Time Nothing” expands on the incendiary sonic palette of side one of the new album—forming a fiery trifecta with the “swaggering, stripped-down ball of energy” (FLOOD) that is “Flea” and the “volcanic buildup” (THE NEW YORK TIMES) of “Broken Man.”

“Big Time Nothing” received its World Premiere today on BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds as their Hottest Record in the World. The Hottest Record is a historic and world renowned feature, highlighting the most important new global track release of the day. The World Premiere was broadcast at 6:30pm BST, alongside an exclusive interview with St. Vincent by host Jack Saunders.

The three-time GRAMMY winner’s first self-produced record and seventh album overall, “All Born Screaming” is an invitation from St. Vincent to test the limits of what is possible–and to then keep going;  brought to life with the aid of a highly curated roster of friends—Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke—the album is an unadulterated expression of St. Vincent’s singular vision.
