MANILA, Philippines—Universal Music Group Philippines, a division of the global music entertainment leader, Universal Music Group (UMG), proudly announces the re-launch of EMI Records Philippines (EMI).

Aligned with its iconic British counterpart, known for launching globally renowned artists throughout its 125-year history, EMI will provide grassroots support for local talent. Leveraging its regional and global network, the label aims to develop and nurture emerging artists into tomorrow’s stars.

Established in 2002, EMI Records Philippines made a significant impact on the OPM (Original Pinoy Music) industry, fostering a legacy with artists like Sandwich, Sugarfree, Hale, The Dawn, Kyla, Lea Salonga, and Bamboo. In its 2024 relaunch, EMI continues its advocacy for Filipino artists, curating a diverse roster that reflects the nation’s soul.
