MANILA, Philippines—In collaboration with the local Government of Makati, Ayala Land and Make It Makati revived the grand-scale New Year’s Eve Countdown to welcome 2024, marking 24 years since the city’s inaugural celebration in 1999.
Headlined by Regine Velasquez and SB19, the event, directed by Paolo Valenciano, titled “Nostalgia Meets the Future: Ayala Avenue New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2024,” not only commemorated the New Year but also spotlighted Filipino talent.

With over 3.5 million participants either on-ground or via livestream, the celebration focused on Filipino pride, featuring Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, P-Pop sensation SB19, Sponge Cola, Al James, and a team of musical theatre artists led by Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon.

The event showcased a visual and auditory spectacle with a 3D-stage setup and 7-meter tall LED screens, delivering an immersive countdown experience. The festivities culminated in a 6-minute fireworks display, creating an iconic celebration in the city.
