It’s here!!! Netflix, today, released the new South Korean original series, Extracurricular. This time, following his well-loved appearance as the morally ambiguous character of Jang Geun Soo in Itaewon Class, South Korean actor, Kim Dong-Hee is finally back leading this debut at the streaming service.

Extracurricular trails four high school students who tread the life of crime and danger from their juvenile decisions and hasty decisions. The show is an offbeat and gritty drama by veteran director Kim Jin-min (Lawless Lawyer, The Time Between Dog and Wolf, and Marriage Contract) and new aspiring writer Jin Han-sae.

A shocking tale of teens who make questionable decisions at the crossroads of life, and the precarious implications this could hold for their future, Extracurricular premieres worldwide today in its ten-episode release.

Its recently-released trailer showed, in vivid detail, how the lead characters choices that sent them down the wrong path that would eventually push them to their limits to pay the price for crimes they committed.

We meet Jisoo (Kim) is a quiet model student who carries a secret inside that no one is aware of. While he dreams of living a simple life, to attain this dream, he leads a dark double life and becomes involved in organized crime. Gyuri (Park Ju-hyun) is the ‘it-girl’–with everything, money and brains included.

But while it seems she has the perfect life, she gets suffocated by the crippling expectations of her successful parents at home. To escape from her parents’ pressure, Gyuri becomes an accomplice to Jisoo and assists him with his operations without any consideration of whether he consents or not.

The story then takes a turn as Jisoo and Gyuri’s business transactions spiral out of control, and they are led down a road they cannot go back. To make matters worse, the school’s number one bad girl Minhee (Jung Da-bin) and her boyfriend Kitae (Nam Yoon Su), the undefeated school bully, become entangled in Jisoo and Gyuri’s mess, and all of their lives are thrown headlong into a whirlpool from which none of them can escape.
