MANILA, Philippines—Fresh from the success of “Bawat Bonggang Bagay” in 2023, The Sandbox Collective returns with another surefire hit: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: An Interactive Musical Comedy. Collaborating with ABS-CBN, Star Magic, and Teatro Kapamilya, this production marks the collective’s milestone tenth year.
To create a fully immersive experience, the musical will leverage multimedia elements powered by SAMSUNG NEO QLED, enveloping audiences in a live show atmosphere. Led by director Missy Maramara, renowned actress and educator, and Dingdong Rosales of SPIT Manila, the production promises a blend of theater and improv expertise.

Adding to the interactive nature, “guest spellers” from the audience will join the cast on stage, injecting spontaneity into each performance. Star Magic talents AC Bonifacio, Shanaia Gomez, Krystal Brimner, Angela Ken, and others headline the cast, supported by theater veterans Audie Gemora, Robbie Guevara, Nyoy Volante, and Liesl Batucan-Del Rosario.
Under the musical direction of Rony Fortich, founding musical director of Hong Kong Disneyland, William Finn’s score comes to life, complemented by choreography from Franco Ramos and production design by Tata Tuviera.
