Philippine Theaters Set to Screen Korean Blockbuster ‘Concrete Utopia’

MANILA, Philippines— An exhilarating disaster film, Concrete Utopia, featuring a powerhouse ensemble of A-list Korean talents, including Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-jun, Park Bo-young, Park Ji-hu, Kim Do-yoon, and Kim Sun-young, is set to grace Philippine cinemas under the banner of Columbia Pictures.

Directed by Um Tae-hwa, ‘Concrete Utopia’ takes inspiration from Part 2 of the acclaimed webtoon ‘Joyful Outcast’ (‘Pleasant Neighbors’). The film unfolds in the aftermath of a catastrophic earthquake, with survivors seeking refuge at Hwang Gung Apartments, the sole standing structure in quake-devastated Seoul.
