Not even the Covid-19 pandemic can stop female artists from releasing their music, let alone impacting the world with their artistry even at a time of this great big pause we are in. Even more so, on the night of the 2021 Grammys, it was women who dominated the stage and took home the most prestigious awards.

The 63rd Grammys was a  triumphant night for women in the music industry. From pop albums, to rap and R&B music, here are  the list of female artists who made a mark on the event:

BEYONCE IS THE MOST AWARDED WOMAN IN GRAMMY HISTORY

But on the night of the 2021 Grammy awards, the pop superstar won the Best R&B Performance for “Black Parade,’’ best music video for “Brown Skin Girl,” and Best Rap Song for  “Savage (Remix)” with Megan Thee Stallion.

She also had the most nominations, with nine in total. As of this post, Queen B holds 28 Grammy awards, the most by a female artist.

ALBUM OF THE YEAR GOES TO TAYLOR SWIFT FOR THE THIRD TIME

Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” and “Evermore” helped millions of people withstand the isolation brought by the series of quarantine. Her hard work definitely paid off when she won the Album of the Year award.

Swift is the first female performer to win this award three times. It can be recalled that she  previously took home the award in 2010 and 2015, respectively.

BILLIE EILISH WINS RECORD OF THE YEAR

The 19-year-old multi-awarded singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has achieved so much in her young age. The female singer has just bagged the Record of the Year award. As of this post, Eilish has already won seven Grammys.

LIVING LEGENDS LADY GAGA AND ARIANA GRANDE WON THE BEST POP DUO PERFORMANCE

When Mother Monster Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande released “Rain On Me” on the early months of the quarantine, everybody danced and sang their hearts out; that is why it is no longer surprising that the song would bag the Best Pop Duo Award.

Not only did Dua Lipa make everyone’s jaw drop because of her beauty and talent, she also took home one of the biggest awards of the night: The Pop Vocal Album of the Year.
