GLOBAL RELEASE—Norwegian pop sensation Dagny is embarking on a new musical journey with the announcement of a trilogy of mini-albums, commencing with the release of “ELLE” on October 20th. This mini-album features eight tracks, including the previously acclaimed singles “Heartbreak In The Making” and “Same Again (For Love),” as well as the newly unveiled single “Ray-Bans.”

Building on the resounding success of her debut album, “Strangers / Lovers,” Dagny delves into her emotions, leading to the creation of a unique concept. “ELLE” is the first installment of this trilogy, each mini-album dedicated to dissecting specific facets of Dagny’s psyche, embodying hyper-exaggerated versions of her distinctive personality traits.

“ELLE” embodies the character of a hopeless yet hopeful romantic, an adventurous and impulsive risk-taker who wears her heart on her sleeve, sometimes to her own detriment. The album’s lead single, “Heartbreak In The Making,” encapsulates ELLE’s reckless streak, serving as a cautionary tale about recognizing early relationship red flags. On the other hand, “Same Again (For Love)” is a burst of synth-pop that illustrates ELLE’s tendency to lose herself in the throes of romance.

Drenched in melancholy, the latest single, “Ray-Bans,” is one of Dagny’s most introspective and vulnerable tracks, offering a reflective perspective on post-breakup blues as ELLE ponders her worthiness with the poignant question, “Am I all that tragic?”

Reflecting on “Ray-Bans,” Dagny shared, “Inspired by 90s melodic and melancholic pop, ‘Ray-Bans’ offers a different mood, showcasing a slightly more vulnerable side compared to some of my previous music. I hope it can provide the soundtrack for the autumn melancholia for those who may need it.”

Dagny’s upcoming mini-album “ELLE” is a result of fruitful collaborations with renowned songwriters like Nick Hahn, Mozella, Oliver Lundström, and Maria Hazell. This 8-track project promises a captivating emotional journey, ranging from intimate vulnerability to anthemic pop explosions.

To celebrate “ELLE’s” release, Dagny will kick off a European headline tour in April 2024, including a performance at London’s O2 Islington Academy on April 3rd. Additionally, she will grace Oslo’s 10,000-capacity Spektrum Arena on November 18th, marking her largest headline show to date.
