Penned two years ago, this laidback track delves into the beauty of meaningful coincidences and dreams, illustrating how the seemingly impossible can manifest into reality through perfect timing, perseverance, and hard work.
In “Surreal,” Justin infuses his lyrics with a tactile vulnerability, inviting listeners into his innermost thoughts and projections. He describes it as a realm where unlikely scenarios serve as an escape from reality, a place where dreams intertwine with imagination. Collaborating with Radkidz’s PABLO and Josue, both producers enrich Justin’s introspective narrative, bringing his vision to life with subtlety and warmth, while exploring the full spectrum of the production’s potential.

Gelou of Filipino girl group YARA joins Justin on the bridge and final chorus, infusing the song with additional flavor and depth. The summery yet easygoing vibe of “Surreal” is complemented by Gelou’s vocals, enhancing the overall experience.

Accompanying the release is a music video conceptualized and directed by Justin himself, along with Xi-Anne Avanceña, his college batchmate and now-Creative Manager of 1Z.
