To Honor Creativity and Excellence, Rémy Martin Hosts its First 1738 Accord Royal Pop-Up Bar

MANILA, Philippines—At a Recent Pop-up bar event, Rémy Martin, a French spirits house best known for its winegrowing heritage and cognac expertise, celebrated innovation and excellence at Honeycomb Manila, showcasing the 1738 Accord Royal, the newest addition to their Cognac Fine Champagne portfolio.

With the Theme, “Team Up the pop-up bar activity highlighted Rémy Martin’s quest for excellence by facilitating cooperation amongst varied creative talents, renowned mixologists, and chefs. The theme is consistent with the brand’s principle #TeamUpForExcellence, which emphasizes an unwavering dedication to achieving greatness via collaboration in their various arts.

Among the guest performers were Curtismith, a Filipino indie rapper and singer-songwriter; Dante & Amigo, up-and-coming singer-songwriters; Longhaul Global Comms, a hip-hop collective; and Bboy Bgirl Association of the Philippines, dance experts in the genre of Bboy and Bgirl or breakdancing. Rémy Martin also collaborated with the hot street artists and visual artists, Distortmonsters and JP Pining, to create unique designs and masterpieces around the event venue and for Remy Martin’s official merchandise.

Aside from a night filled with excellence and talents, attendees and guests were able to try unique 1738 Accord Royal cocktails created by top mixologists in the Philippines, including Kate Osmillo, the Brand Ambassador for Rémy Cointreau brands, Sinichi Itoh and Larry Andrada from award-winning bar OTO, Kevin Corales from Southbank Café + Lounge, and Faye Fernando from Baccarat Room and Bar, Solaire.

The 1738 Collins with a sharp citrus taste and the 1738 Accord Royal with fresh lemon juice were among the special mixes served during the pop-up event. The Remy Sidecar, a complex and finely balanced cognac cocktail named after a motorcycle owned by a gentleman in Paris, was another highlighted drink. This combination included the balance of Cointreau, 1738 Accord Royal, and a hint of lemon. The concoctions were wonderfully complemented with scrumptious Lagrima sweets.

“This was truly the goal for #TeamUpForExcellence. Seeing young creative talents who are excellent in their own crafts getting together and bonding over a glass of fine cognac. The 1738 Accord Royal, which was recently launched at Whisky Live Manila 2022, is distinguished for its oaky smoothness and distinct fruity flavor, making it perfect for diverse cocktails. The new cognac features a butterscotch taste, roasted spices, and undertones of dark chocolate. With cherry and fig jam flavors, toffee and toasted bread notes, and an extraordinarily creamy finish and fragrances. It can be drunk neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail.
