Celebrate International Margarita Day With PATRÓN Tequila

Food & Drinks

MANILA, Philippines—As one of the world’s most popular drinks, the margarita, has become a staple in the cocktail industry, whether consumed on a night out or at home. Margaritas are popular among drinkers due to their refreshing finish and delectable flavors.

This liquor typically has three key ingredients: tequila, orange liqueur, and citrus juice, but it may also add other ingredients to give the original recipe a twist, such as sweet fruits, various souring agents, some spiced, and bitters to suit one’s tastes and heighten the experience. Margaritas are traditionally shaken and served straight up in a coupe glass with salt on the rim, or combined with ice and served cold.

The margarita takes its name from the Spanish word for ‘daisy,’ and traces its origins in the 1930s in Mexico. Iowa newspaper editor James Graham wrote about finding the recipe for the cocktail in Tijuana, Mexico.

Worldwide, Margarita Day is celebrated every February 22. PATRÓN Tequila invites everyone to further enjoy this beloved cocktail using only the best Ingredients.

The heart of every Margarita recipe is the Tequila, both having its DNA deeply rooted in Mexican culture and heritage. What better way is there to elevate your Margarita than to enjoy it with the ultra-premium PATRÓN Tequila.
