LONDON, UK — Contemporary sports fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger trudges on forward to offer the most stylish collections that combine fashion with sports, and heritage with innovation, at its latest space.
Just in May, Onitsuka Tiger proudly unveiled the opening of the Onitsuka Tiger Regent Street, London Flagship, Onitsuka Tiger’s largest store ever at 249-251 Regent Street, one of the world’s most prestigious shopping streets.
This London Flagship is the first store in the world to offer the entire Onitsuka Tiger lineup in a single establishment, from the contemporary and heritage collections to the NIPPON MADE series rich in craftsmanship as well as the luxury THE ONITSUKA line. The space has been designed to resemble a brand art gallery where customers can fully enjoy the world of Onitsuka Tiger.
The 9,300 square feet (approx. 864 square meters) store, which consists of two floors, has a spacious and massive marble interior with all the collections on the ground floor. A showroom and gallery space in the basement will be used to support local creators and global artists and provide a variety of experiences that connect the brand with London culture.
At the center of the ground floor area, a marble shoe wall, featuring three types of stone with different expressions, with a design that looks as if it were carved out of stone is placed as a symbolic presence.
In addition, the luminous pillar that penetrates from the basement to the ceiling on the ground floor, seen to the left of the main entrance, is composed of a spiral of two colors of light, embodying the brand’s philosophy to fuse heritage with innovation.
To commemorate the store opening, special models were launched on May 28, 2021. The graphics used in these limited-edition models are original designs that combine the brand’s iconic TIGER PATTERN with a color scheme inspired by the London Underground map. The shoes are the ULTIMATE 81™ MP and the REBILAC RUNNER™ MP models, which were born from the high-spec MP series with various functions and a look that is stripped down to the bare essentials. A total of five products, including short- and long-sleeve T-shirts and socks, can be purchased on OnitsukaTiger.com, Regent Street flagship store and selected stores globally.
