MANILA, Philippines—Amidst a captivating aura of innovation and finesse, ASICS proudly inaugurates its latest line of collections spanning diverse product categories, including Performance Running, Core Performance Sports, and ASICS SPORTSTYLE and Apparel. This momentous occasion unfolds during the esteemed ASICS Autumn Winter 2023 Media Preview Day, gracing the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand, at the Urban Yard.
ASICS hosted a event, divided into four concepts, to showcase its diverse collections, initiatives, and activities. It drew media, partners, and brand ambassadors, including prominent figures like Miss Universe Philippine 2019, Gazini Ganados, and social media influencers Bea Benedicto and Marline Capones.

Attendees from different countries, including actors like Tay Tawan, Pon Nawasch, and Toey Pongsakorn, and the ultra-marathoner, Natali Due, were introduced to the latest collections with state-of-the-art product innovations for improved performance in sports and fashion.

Yogesh Gandhi, the Managing Director of ASICS Southeast Asia, emphasized the brand’s commitment to its founding philosophy of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” aiming to inspire the community to embrace physical movement for the betterment of their mental and physical well-being. The new Autumn Winter 2023 collection symbolizes this enduring principle, promoting an active lifestyle that fosters positive impacts on individuals’ overall health and mindset.
During the AW23 Media Preview Day, ASICS showcased its commitment to sustainability through a collaboration with Thai social activist and artist, WISHULADA. Together, they crafted purposeful art installations using recycled ASICS footwear and apparel. Notably, the upcycled ASICS logo was featured to highlight the brand’s environmentally friendly achievement—the ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III CM 1.95, renowned for its low carbon emissions.

Embracing ASICS’ Core of “Sound Mind, Sound Body”
Guests were immersed in ASICS’ Performance Running category, experiencing the brand’s core philosophy of “Sound Mind, Sound Body.” They were introduced to updated versions of the brand’s legacy models like GEL-CUMULUS 25, GEL-KINSEI MAX, and GEL-KAYANO 30, all aimed at enhancing running performance. The highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of the 30th-anniversary edition of the ASICS GEL-KAYANO™ series – the GEL-KAYANO™ 30.

This latest iteration boasts the 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ for a more comfortable and stable running experience. Regional guests had the unique opportunity to test the GEL-KAYANO™ 30 during the Running Clinic, specifically designed to focus on stability-centric workouts and learn about the shoe’s illustrious 30-year legacy.
The event continued with the introduction to ASICS’ latest offerings in two key categories: Core Performance Sports and ASICS SPORTSTYLE. In the Core Performance Sports category, the spotlight was on the limited-edition GEL-RESOLUTION 9 Tennis Shoe, created in collaboration with high fashion house BOSS and designed for Italian Tennis Champion Matteo Berrettini.
For ASICS SPORTSTYLE, the AW23 Collection at the ASICS SPORTSTYLE Café showcased a fusion of form, function, and fashion. Reimagined models like the GT-2160, JAPAN S ST, and EX89 were featured. The GT-2160, influenced by fashion house Cecile Bahnsen, combined feminine couture intricacies with ASICS’ technical expertise. The JAPAN S ST model elevated the iconic basketball silhouette with improved cushioning and contemporary features, while the EX89 boasted new colorways following its debut last year.
