MANILA, Philippines—This season, Longchamp revisits its roots, embracing the exhilaration of a day at the races. In this vibrant world, where spectators and professionals share a passion, Longchamp aligns with horseracing, embodying shared values of savoir-faire, energy, and authenticity. At the core of the collection, the equestrian spirit takes on a sporty, casual-chic twist with warm, feminine materials.

Picture a Sunday at the hippodrome, with frenzied activity surrounding the horses and jockeys. Perfection is paramount in this elite discipline, leaving no detail to chance. Inspired by riding boots, rain boots emblazoned with an oversized Longchamp logo make a bold statement, customizable with leather straps reminiscent of bridle colors.

Warm hues like plum, corn, and mahogany, as well as camouflage prints, complement key sporty-chic pieces: shearling coats, lambskin gilets, color-blocked parkas, stand-up collar jackets in leather or quilted flannel, and cargo pants. High boots in black or tobacco-brown, featuring contrasting technical laces, add a winter-ready look, along with a velvety corduroy baseball cap.

Close to the stables, seasoned punters gather with racing papers in hand. Families enjoy the atmosphere in the stands and on the turf. In this eclectic setting, some opt for pea coats, pullovers, and sailing-stripe coats – a classic style revisited by Longchamp. Others embrace a more feminine look, layering shearling gilets over taffeta dresses or pairing pantsuits with frilly blouses. Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine explains, “I love the concept of layering, creating a cozy, chic, and casual winter feel.”

The Box-Trot bag in cobalt-blue and grass-green, along with a new baguette format, complements long dresses in fluid crepe, crafting a refined, contemporary silhouette. Racehorse owners stroll in straight-cut flannel pants and matching shawl-collared blazers for a dandyish total look. Tennis stripes encapsulate the chic, sporty spirit of the collection.

The true heartbeat of the hippodrome, the horses and jockeys, inspire the collection. Racing silks, with their unique colors and patterns for each stable, serve as a muse. The collection features patterned pieces like silk and cotton dresses and blouses with a black and white checkerboard motif, cashmere pullovers adorned with horses and riders, and bomber jackets echoing racing silks’ bold diagonal stripes.

Longchamp embraces its heritage, celebrating the world of horseracing with boundless energy and authenticity.
