GoDaddy Study Shows Strong Embrace of Digital Transformation Among Filipino Small Businesses

MANILA, Philippines—GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY), a company dedicated to helping entrepreneurs thrive, has unveiled insights from its GoDaddy Data Observatory 2023, shedding light on the earnest adoption of digitalization by Filipino entrepreneurs.

The study indicates a serious commitment to leveraging technology tools for enhanced business efficiency and growth. According to the findings, Filipino small business owners are actively embracing various digital tools, such as intranets or internal social networks (84%), shared drives for collaboration (72%), data storage or transfer services (67%), and video conferencing (65%).

Notably, 95% of respondents express a willingness to invest more in online sales and marketing this year. Recognizing the significance of meaningful customer experiences, businesses are integrating tools like online customer service (71%), digital payment systems (70%), e-mail notifications (67%), online booking systems (63%), and digital invoicing (56%). Moreover, 54% utilize customer relationship management tools (CRM).

In terms of digitization importance, Filipino small businesses prioritize web security (82%), a social media presence (82%), an online store (76%), digital advertising (75%), and owning a website (72%). Additionally, 68% of respondents have researched or purchased website protections.

The GoDaddy Data Observatory, conducted by Advanis in March 2023, surveyed 4,682 entrepreneurs and small business owners globally, including 488 in the Asia-Pacific region (Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand combined).
