Spring/Summer 2024 runway show

Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2024 runway show, held at Domino Park in Brooklyn, New York, embraced the theme of “Holiday.” It was a celebration of the allure of escaping to blue skies, balmy weather, and sunny days.

Designer Michael Kors himself expressed, “This season, we’re inviting everyone on a holiday journey—a transcendent joy, a glamorous escape, and a touch of sophisticated optimism.” The collection embodied a streamlined sense of romance, featuring leggy silhouettes, floor-sweeping goddess dresses, side-slashed skirts, and breezy caftans. Empire waist dresses elevated the waistline, while chiffon and lace skirts paired with sleek bodysuits and sweaters created an elongated effect. Makeup hues complemented sorbet shades, and bold florals and graphic giraffe prints added a postmodern twist. The effortless vibe was accentuated by flat shoes and a handwoven bucket bag paying homage to Jane Birkin’s iconic style.

The runway show was accompanied by a dreamy multi-dimensional soundtrack featuring Michael’s favorite tracks from the 1960s. Renowned models gracing the bougainvillea-lined runway included Vittoria Ceretti, Anok Yai, Liya Kebede, Natasha Poly, Ashley Graham, Liu Wen, Irina Shayk, Mariacarla Boscono, and more.

In the front row, A-list celebrities such as Blake Lively, Halle Berry, Vanessa Hudgens, Rita Ora, Ariana DeBose, Anitta, and others added to the star-studded affair.

The live show experience was premiered on Michael Kors Collection’s various social and digital platforms, including MichaelKors-Collection.com, which serves as the central hub for all Spring/Summer 2024 content. The event was also accessible to the brand’s international audience across popular social media channels, ensuring a global reach.

Watch Hunger Stop

In 2013, Michael Kors launched the “Watch Hunger Stop” campaign, a global initiative in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide school meals to children in food-insecure regions. Over the past decade, the campaign has supported more than 30 million school meals, thanks to worldwide generosity.

To mark the tenth anniversary, a reception at the UN was co-hosted by Michael Kors and WFP’s Executive Director, Cindy McCain, with the presence of Halle Berry, a supporter since 2013. The campaign features Halle Berry and Kate Hudson, both early backers of Watch Hunger Stop, in photos by Cliff Watts. Hudson, a former WFP Goodwill Ambassador, and Berry have visited WFP-supported communities.

The collection includes a special-edition watch, organic cotton T-shirt, and a recycled canvas tote. Designed in collaboration with Sang Bleu, the tote and T-shirt feature a globe in the shape of a heart, symbolizing “food is love.” Each sale of these items contributes to WFP, with Michael Kors donating meals for each product sold.

The Watch Hunger Stop 2023 collection launches on October 1, 2023. The special-edition watch ($325), T-shirt ($40), and tote ($98) symbolize a decade of commitment to WFP and support their mission of Zero Hunger. Michael Kors is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists, Inc., with various locations and an online presence.
