L’Oréal’s AirLight Pro is A Game-Changer in Hair Care Unveiled at CES 024

MANILA, Philippines—At CES® 2024, L’Oréal Groupe introduced the cutting-edge AirLight Pro, a next-generation hair drying tool collaboratively designed with professional stylists for both beauty professionals and home consumers.

Created in partnership with Zuvi, a startup founded by drone engineers and leading scientists, AirLight Pro employs infrared-light technology and wind to provide visually smoother and hydrated hair1, ensuring faster drying2 with optimized heat flow suitable for various hair types and up to 31% less energy consumption*3.

L’Oréal, recognized as an industry expert in haircare from the cellular to the fiber level for diverse hair types, has joined forces with hardware startup Zuvi to pioneer a next-generation hair drying tool. Designed initially for beauty professionals and subsequently for global consumers, the collaboration focuses on breakthrough technology aimed at caring for the hair.

Mingyu Wang, Founder and CEO of Zuvi, emphasizes their mission to disrupt technologies and innovate for the future, expressing pride in partnering with L’Oréal to elevate their products. Applying Zuvi’s patented LightCare™ technology to a blow-dryer, the first-generation product efficiently uses infrared light and high-speed wind to dry the hair surface, preserving internal moisture.

The joint efforts of over 100 engineers, designers, hairdressers, and scientists from L’Oréal’s Research & Innovation Division and Zuvi resulted in AirLight Pro, a professional-grade hair drying tool breaking performance barriers. It delivers up to 33% more hydrated hair4, up to 59% visually smoother hair5, faster drying times, and an enhanced user experience, while also achieving up to 31% less energy consumption6. Equipped with a special 17-blade, high-speed motor and patented7 infrared technology, AirLight Pro ensures efficient, fast drying without excessive heat, leaving hair smooth and shiny.

Tested on over 500 individuals with various hair types, AirLight Pro is designed for individual customization. L’Oréal made a minority investment in Zuvi through its corporate venture fund, and the AirLight Pro is set to launch in the United States by L’Oréal Professionnel in 2024, catering to both beauty professionals and consumers alike.
