Makati New Year’s Eve Spectacle Goes Virtual with Secret Menu’s Creative Touch

MANILA, Philippines—Secret Menu, the award-winning creative agency, played a crucial role in the tremendous success of “Nostalgia Meets the Future: Ayala Avenue New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2024.” This event, commemorating 24 years since the epic turn-of-the-millennium celebration at Ayala Avenue, serves as a testament to Makati City’s enduring tradition of hosting grand-scale New Year’s Eve festivities.

The theme “Nostalgia Meets the Future” guided attendees on a musical journey, blending the nostalgia of the original 1999 celebration with vibrant performances by P-Pop sensation SB19, Sponge Cola, Al James, Gab Pangilinan, and Myke Salomon. Regine Velasquez, Asia’s Songbird, graced the same stage she performed on in 1999, delivering an unforgettable performance that captivated partygoers.

Secret Menu’s contribution elevated the event globally through a livestream, extending the celebration’s reach and engaging audiences beyond physical boundaries. With 130K on-ground attendees and 330K livestream views, the event resonated with 4.7M people across social media platforms, including those at home, out-of-town enthusiasts, and homesick Filipinos abroad.

The successful collaboration further strengthened Secret Menu’s partnership with Ayala Land and Make It Makati, initially established through the annual holiday showcase “Festival of Lights” at Ayala Triangle Gardens. General Manager Bianca Balbuena emphasized Secret Menu’s adaptive prowess in blending nostalgia with the future’s cutting-edge demands.
