This time next week, You stars Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell are visiting the Philippines to meet its Filipino fanbase. (You can scream now!) In a special event put forth by Netflix Philippines, Badgley and Mitchell will spend an afternoon with “obsessed” (See what we did there?) fans at The Greenbelt Gallery at the 2nd floor of Greenbelt 5, to be set up to liken the now-famous Mooney’s Bookstore from the show.
Netflix continues its reign in 2019 as it produced yet another reason for users to be glued to the video streaming platform with the release of its 10-episode chilling psychological thriller featuring the story of a bookstore manager with a dark past, Joe Goldberg (played by Badgley) entranced by a woman who pushed him off the edge. Mitchell, then plays the equally-demented but charismatic Peach Salinger, a relative to known writer, J.D. Salinger and best friend to Joe’s object of desire–or better yet, obsession.
Fans are also in for a treat as special prizes await event-goers.
You is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name featuring other stars like Elizabeth Lail and Luca Padovan.
