CEBU, Philippines — Up-and-coming group Alice Who is a pop band from Cebu City formed in 2017, signed under Visayan Artists. The band was founded by lead vocalists Diane and J Russ, who were later joined by drummer Sam, and bassist Rob.
Alice Who likes to play with themes. Their music subjects range from lost loves, rotten politicians, playful longing, to questionable parenting tactics – all with their own distinct sound and feel.
The Cebu-based group represents the idea of searching for a person’s own facets and identities, and the questions people ask themselves during that quest. “Who is Alice?” is a question that band is constantly asking with their music – a question that they hope also sparks within their listeners – for them to ask themselves who they are.
The band released their debut single “Touch”, produced by fellow Cebu pop band “Mandaue Nights” on June 30, 2021. The track is a disco-inspired dance track that sings of an electrified romance between two lovers who yearn to feel each other’s touch.
