GLOBAL — “California” by Rich Brian & NIKI featuring Warren Hue, out NOW, and is the second track released by 88rising under the Head In the Clouds III collection, the next installment of the album series housing Asian artists from East to West. The project will bring listeners from around the world into the Asian diasporic experience through a universal lens – lovelorn, self-reflective, and homesick songs about triumphing over self-doubt and being caught between two worlds.
After a brief hiatus in 2020, the long awaited Head In The Clouds III builds upon the massive success of 88rising’s world-building first two installments of the Head In The Clouds series, which have amassed over 1.9 billion streams to date. The singles and album will ladder up to the return of the Head In The Clouds Music Festival on November 6th & 7th in Southern California.
The Head In The Clouds series has included singles such as the RIAA-certified Gold “Midsummer Madness”, US Top 40 radio hit “Walking”, and TikTok viral sensation “Indigo”. Previous editions featured 88rising’s Rich Brian, Joji, Jackson Wang, NIKI, Higher Brothers, Stephanie Poetri, and AUGUST 08 alongside unprecedented global collaborations with Swae Lee (of Rae Sremmurd), Major Lazer, GoldLink, CHUNG HA, Phum Viphurit, Playboi Carti, and many more.
