MANILA, Philippines — At the tail-end of May, in the midst of the government-mandated community quarantine, six-member young and independent collective Gil and the Axe Gang shared a live-in-studio version of an earlier released single, “Crazy”.

The song talks about finding love unexpectedly and is a follow-up to its first released single, “Umaasa” (Hoping). Originally shared on digital platforms earlier this year on February 2020, the band then explores elements of electronic music in the new single.

The alternative soul band is composed of Gil Guevarra, Algwen Salazar, Joel Jimenez, JM Flores, RJ Asilo, Ruel Bugarin. Since their first release, Gil and the Axe Gang has continued on in injecting RnB and Funk elements, resulting in its groovy repertoire.

After “Crazy”, the band has since released a new track, “Hanggang Tingin“, shared across all major digital platforms. Learn about the band’s fresh releases on their official social media channels on Facebook through: Gil and the Axe Gang.
