GLOBAL NEWS—After months of requests from fans for his official comeback in the industry, GRAMMY-nominated and multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer, Charlie Puth, finally released his highly anticipated third studio album CHARLIE, via Atlantic Records.

Through this album, which was totally produced by Puth, he defies all expectations and, for the first time in his career, expresses his fragility, confidence, and sense of humor. You may download or stream CHARLIE here.

The highly-anticipated album is the most authentic showcase of Puth to date. “I’ve been doing this for eight years, but CHARLIE is finally me,” says Puth. “For a long time, I was trying to be ‘the cool guy,’ but that was a foggy piece of glass in front of the world. Now, the glass is broken. There’s no window. You can reach right in.”

Throughout the entire album, Puth weaves humorous moments into his sincere tale, which are drawn from his recent experiences with his life and relationships. He admits that “this is sonically my personality” as a result of his openness and sincerity. The record has turned out to be his most intimate collection of work and seems as though the sound has turned into a physical being.

Though his fans have gotten a first-hand glimpse of the forthcoming project via TikTok, Puth introduces 12 songs that chart the development of CHARLIE, beginning with the enthrallingly poignant “That’s Hilarious,” which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator JKash. Puth made a big entrance with the album’s first song, “Light Switch,” which went gold in less than six months and demonstrated why he is one of the current generation’s most prolific hitmakers.

Additional tracks include his hit collaboration “Left and Right” (feat. Jung Kook of BTS), which has served as Puth’s highest charting debut, reeling in over 400 million streams and 214 million video views; the genre-bending “Smells Like Me”, which UPROXX described as “modern pop and “80’s synth ballad”; and the “haunting” (ROLLING STONE) “I Don’t Think That I Like Her”, featuring Travis Barker on drums.

Puth created a vast canvas of self-realization by lyrically tying new songs like “Loser” and “There’s A First Time For Everything” to the album’s aural evolution. He ends it with the insight, “I’m so glad I finally realized that I’m better without you,” underlined by his entrancing high range, before singing “No More Drama.”

Puth already embarked on his Live Nation-produced “One Night Only” tour this October. The intimate underplay tour, which includes 12 dates across North America, Canada, and Europe, began on October 23 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in New Jersey before moving on to The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on November 9 and Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin on December 6th.
