Grounded by the core belief that through sports, we have the power to change lives, footwear giant, adidas launched the adidas Runners community. Starting out as a running group in one city, the established group is now an international community present in 53 cities all over the globe— including Manila. Through adidas Runners, thousands of people from different backgrounds and walks of life come together with a common desire to be better: better runners, better athletes, and ultimately, better humans.
adidas Runners is all about building a world that one can be proud to be part of. And despite these uncertain times, this commitment still rings true. Because of that, over the past few weeks, the global adidas Runners community suspended all sessions to ensure the safety of its runners and the general public. But adidas Runners remains a platform for runners all over the world to unite and work towards their common goal.
To keep runners active, present, and connected, starting March 23, adidas Runners captains and coaches from around the globe will be leading daily live virtual sessions on the adidas Runners Instagram page. The said sessions are aligned with the adidas Runners’ performance-focused pillars of movement, nutrition, mindset, and recovery, with the captains and coaches set to hold strength training, HIIT, yoga, mobility, mindfulness, and nutrition sessions that encourage movement that powers the body and sparks the mind.
Kicking off the live virtual sessions is adidas Runners Manila Captain Jules Aquino, led the Strength Session on March 23, 2020 at 6 pm PHT. This will then be followed by sessions led by adidas Runners Telaviv Coach Dories Koblenz at 8 pm PHT, adidas Runners Spain Coach Pol Cejas on March 24 at 1 am PHT, and adidas Runners Zagreb Coach Ana Čerenšek on March 24 at 3 am PHT.
