The whole of the SMX Convention Center was bustling with love for Philippine cinema–filled with experts, celebrities, enthusiasts, and fans in a gathering like no other.
In a historic first, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), headed by Chair Liza Dino-Seguerra, mounted a Grand Fan Con to prelude the third Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino this 2019, gamely participated in by celebrities starring in the ten competing films in the festival.
With a running theme: Pamilya, Pagkakaibigan, Pag-ibig, the festival welcomed a diverse roster of films from arthouse gems, to mainstream blockbusters, giving an interesting lineup of audience-friendly films for Filipino film lovers.
For the first offering of Portraits by Rank, we joined the FDCP and the PPP to capture the men and women that make up this year’s remarkable gathering of industry stalwarts and newcomers–anchored all on the common mission of celebrating films by Filipinos, for Filipinos.
