On its third season, SM Youth Go-See crowns its latest brand ambassadors.

The third season of the SM Youth Go-See has officially revealed its two latest winners last month at the Cove in Okada Manila. Jaime Borromeo and Julian Rodriguez emerged as the latests in the brand’s growing roster of winners after eight grueling weeks featuring 14 finalists who were tested to their limits.  From solo to group photo shoots to live-mannequin challenges, each of them were tasked to step into the next level with fantasy-themed pictorials—surprising not only themselves, but the special judges who guested on the show.

Winner’s Circle

Julian Rodriguez and Jaime Borromeo snatch this year’s titles as SM Youth Go-See Winners

“We have always been on the lookout for fresh faces who can represent the brand, the lifestyle, and the community. More than the physical attributes, we look for potential ambassadors who have the heart and passion to inspire people through their stories. I designed the show to focus more on the stories of the contestants more than the competition, so that our audience can really get to know our potential ambassadors and connect with them on a deeper level. This is what makes our ambassadors different from the rest,” shares Bjorn Bedayo, SM Youth Senior Digital Marketing Manager and SM Youth Go See Producer.

SM Youth Assistant Vice President, Marielle Ardiente, adds,  “What’s good about the SM Youth brand ambassadors, is that they would be open to constestants, allowing themselves to be available for questions. Everyone has a good heart. That’s what’s important.”

The Winners

At the end of the show, the two winners were announced. Both 17 years old, these two are the youngest ever to win the competion with strict criteria that included their social media presence. Ardiente adds, “Jaime won, because he was a consistent performer. Julian, though he was the one who entered without any knowledge of the industry, he was consistently going up.”

“They really both embody the ideal SM Youth ambassador, because of everything that they showed to us throughout the entire season. These makes them the winners, and we are more than proud of the both of them,” adds Bedayo.

Bright, Shiny Things

The worlds of Jaime Borromeo and Julian Rodriguez are just about to get even more exciting as they start their journey as SM Youth brand ambassadors. SM Youth has a lot of exciting plans with them for the rest of 2018 with upcoming lookbooks, campaigns, events and fashion shows.

“An SM Youth brand ambassador is someone that embodies the brand. Someone that isn’t afraid to show their true colors. A role model that inspires today’s youth, to be whatever they want to be and to chase their dreams. As of now, my main goal is to inspire and be a role model to everyone out there. I want to show everyone that it is okay to let down their walls and just be themselves,” winner Jaime Borromeo shares.

“Representing a brand as influential as SM Youth is both humbling and a huge responsibility. For me, SM Youth ambassadors are just normal and passionate people who challenge themselves to be better individuals every single day. Being authentic and being themselves day in and day out. Right now, I want to focus my time on staying true to SM Youth’s brand and using the platform given to me to positively influence the youth. I also want to constantly try out new things that are out of my comfort zone, like I did with SM Youth,” notes Julian Rodriguez.

Jaime Borromeo and Julian Rodriguez join the prestigious group of SM Youth brand ambassadors, Tommy Esguerra and Richard Juan, including past two season’s winners, Kaila Estrada, Kyle Perry, Erika Kristensen, and Macauly Lofgren.

The SM Youth has since woven a new way of seeing today’s youth: confident, outgoing, and ready to take on challenges–brave enough to push themselves beyond what is expected of them. Testing their limits and exceeding their own and everyone’s expectations of them, because they can and they will!
