Ben&Ben, Moira, and SB19 Come Back Strong with Top Nominations at the MYX Awards 2021

MANILA, Philippines — The upcoming MYX Awards 2021 is all geared up to honor the country’s hottest hitmakers of the past tear, with Ben&Ben, Moira dela Torre, and SB19 nabbing the highest total number of nominations across the board.

Nine-piece band Ben&Ben has secured five nominations, including the coveted Music Video of the Year for “Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay” featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Meanwhile, Moira is nominated in four categories including Song of the Year for her hit single “Paubaya”.

Last year’s big winner, SB19, comes back strong with nominations in three major categories, namely Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for P-pop group’s chart-topping release “Alab”.

The big announcement happened last Saturday (June 19) through MYX Philippines’ digital accounts on kumu, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. See the full list of nominations below:

Also named during the event are other Artist of the Year nominees, Filipino idol girl group MNL48 and actress-singer Nadine Lustre.

Multi-awarded artists and crowd favorites Darren Espanto, Gloc-9, Juan Karlos, IV of Spades, and Shanti Dope have earned two nominations each, while viral acts Maine Mendoza, Michael Pacquiao, Matthaios, and COLN are also among this year’s contenders.

Two-time winner BTS is nominated anew, competing with Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift for the International Video of the Year category.

#MYXAwards2021 is also presenting a special award for Kumu Streamer of the Year with Jex De Castro, Sofronio Vasquez III, Dani Ozaraga, Christian Bayaha, and Mark Michael Garcia as nominees.

Winners will be determined by fan votes (60%) and artist poll (40%). Fans can already vote for their favorite artists and videos on myx.global/myxawards until July 18 (Sunday), 11:59 pm.
