1.3 Million Viewers Rocked the Explosive Welcome to the New Year with Virtual Music Fest ‘BYE 2021’

PHILIPPINES—Out with the old, in with the new! After a storied year, we have all taken a well-needed goodbye to the year that was 2021 with our heads and hopes up for a better 2022. With all that us, and the rest of the world, experienced in the past year, just making it through is worthy of celebration.

In the true spirit of being Filipino, 2022 was welcomed in the best way we know how—with and through good music!

BYE 2021 music fest was held last December 31, 2021 from 7PM onwards, attracting over 1.3 million people gathered online to wave goodbye to 2021. Played across popular streaming platforms Facebook, Youtube and Tiktok, viewers were entertained with a rich line up of 43 of the hottest local, international artists, and content creators.

Presented by UMUSIC Philippines, the biggest online music fest rang in the new year in a bright, fun and positive celebration. Headlined by local artists like Ben&Ben, Zack Tabudlo, SB19, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Juan Karlos, and Arthur Nery, among the rich line-up of talented vocalists and musicians, BYE 2021 also saw the special participation of Paul Klein & Jake Goss of LANY, international singer of the viral and trending track “Ever After”, Bonnie Bailey; Thai superstar, Billkin; TikTok viral artist Lyn Lapid, Maximillian, VALLEY, and more.

There were also special appearances from last year’s most influential content creators Maris Racal, Albert Nicolas, Jim and Saab, and TikTok sensation Ceejay Laqui, all enjoyed by fans across the country and the world for free.

Fans from all over the Philippines also grabbed the opportunity to meet and greet with their favorite artists by availing of the BYE2021 Fan Pack which included limited edition event merchandise and a ZoomPit ticket which gave them exclusive access to chat with their favorite artists 2 hours before the show began with artists like with artists like: Zack Tabudlo, Ben & Ben, Arthur Nery, Adie, BLASTER, Justin Vasquez, Over October, Cheats, Fern., dia mate, R Rules, VVS Collective, 8 Ballin’ and Albert Nicolas.

“As compared to BYE2020, we no longer shot on a virtual stage, but on a physical set instead. That said, the production value of our performances are definitely a step up from last year.”
