Young superstar and box office king Daniel Padilla gears up for his upcoming virtual concert, “Apollo: A Daniel Padilla Digital Experience,” ready to take his fans to a gig unlike any other to highlight his exciting evolution as a concert and musical performer throughout the years.
Produced by ABS-CBN’s Star Events and Padilla’s own production house, Johnny Moonlight, “Apollo” is exclusively happening on KTX.ph this Sunday (October 11).
Taking on the challenge of staging a musical event in the midst of the pandemic, the homegrown ABS-CBN artist admits to an apprehension to staging a virtual show with the limitations and different temperament online due to the continuing fight with health crisis. However, he notes, “But eventually I said yes because I realized, this isn’t for me, this is for the people I’d be working with and my supporters. I didn’t want to be selfish like that.”
He adds, “Ginawa ito para makapagbigay ng kahit ilang saglit ng kasiyahan sa mga tao. Na kahit paano, maramdaman nila na okay pa rin tayong lahat. Na andito lang kami, naghihintay lang kami na maging maayos ang lahat.”
The event serves as Padilla’s first-ever digital show featuring his musical journey from the time he headlined his first solo concert “Daniel: Live!” in 2013 to his last major gig “D4” in 2018, to be narrated through some of his music made up of his favorite standards and classics, along with some of today’s hottest hits.
“It’s very different because firstly, the fans who always show support during my concerts won’t be physically there, but of course we still want to give the same feeling virtually,” the 25-year-old singer-actor shares when asked about performing in a different time.
Joining the “Mabagal” singer as a special guest is Jose Carlito led by band frontman and brother JC Padilla.
“Apollo: A Daniel Padilla Digital Experience” is the first of many exclusive virtual gigs Star Events is coming up to give extraordinary musical experiences online with their favorite performers in place of live events. The concert is part of ABS-CBN’s latest digital entertainment experience offerings for Kapamilyas after the successful launch of Kapamilya Online Live.
