Recently-released Netflix original film, 6 Underground, helmed by director Michael Bay and topbilled by Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds was the most streamed release on the platform followed by the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston thriller-comedy reunion, Murder Mystery. Coming in close third is the Filipino horror Eerie, directed by young Filipino film genius Mikhail Red. Another Filipino film, Miss Granny, starring Sarah Geronimo also, made it into the list. The Filipinos’ love for Korean titles is further exemplified by the inclusion of Hotel Del Luna, Kingdom, and Love Alarm to the most popular series list for 2019. Several other fan favorite Netflix Original Series such as Umbrella Academy, Sex Education, and Stranger Things also made it to this year’s list.
