Yes! In case you haven’t joined the celebration yet. A Friends reunion is finally upon us. After years of clamor for the return of the legendary group of mid-twenties New Yorkers adulting and trying to live life in the city, its cast, the now-Hollywood A-listers Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer are confirmed to reprise their roles in the ’90s game-changing sit-com under HBO Max.

Variety reports that the six renowned celebrities are set to make a historic return to the original Warner Bros. Studio lot in California, bridging the 16-year gap drawing the ten-year-old series to a close in 2004. With this announcement, it has also been reported that the cast will be receiving $2.5 million for the special.

In a statement, Kevin Reilly, Chief Content Officer at HBO Max shared, “I became aware of Friends when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to work on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends – and audiences – gathered together in real time and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans.” He continued, “Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire ‘Friends’ library,”

Ben Winston is set to direct and executive produce the special, along with Friends original executive directors Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. As is announced, the special is said to be released, along with the over 200 episodes of the entire series when the streaming platform gets released this May.

If the almost-simultaneous and identical Instagram-breaking are of any indication, the gang are definitely geared up to take on the return of a lifetime–following years of will-they or will-they-not from fans across generations of viewers.

Annnnd LeBlanc almost followed the memo…
