MANILA, Philippines—International gaming developer MOONTON Games launches new campaign “Tear It Off – Everyone Is Awesome” aimed at breaking down various stereotypes associated with female gamers as well as the preconceived notions surrounding LGBTQ+ players facing discrimination.
Alongside online mobile game e-sports league Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines, the campaign is designed to combat biases within the gaming community and defy stereotypes commonly experienced by Filipino gamers.

In collaboration with Filipino actress Andrea Brillantes, renowned gaming personality Alodia Gosiengfiao, and e-sports athletes Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna and Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse, MOONTON Games has released an empowering soundtrack that talks about the prejudice they have encountered within the gaming community, encouraging listeners to break away from these stereotypes and judgments. One such example would be that with Mobile Legends, OhMyV33NUS was discriminated against and relegated to a stereotype he was told he can only use a few heroes in-game, such as Estes.
“Promoting to break stereotypes is a collective responsibility. We hope the campaign encourages everyone to defy these labels, and embrace inclusivity.” says Gosiengfiao, co-owner of Blacklist International.
Break Away all Biases with the #TearItOffChallenge
From March 7-15, participate in the #TearItOffChallenge by sharing a story or snippet on Facebook on biases or stereotypical incidents faced. Lucky entrants can take home blind boxes containing MLBB-branded shirts and pullovers, Andrea’s Secret Surprise Accessory Set, or photo cards with signatures from Andrea, OhmyV33nus, Alodia, and Renejay.

In the caption, mention Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s official Facebook account and tag two (2) friends to join. Use the hashtags #TearItOffChallenge #MLBBTearItOff. Winners will be announced through the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines Facebook page on March 10th, 13th, and 16th. All entries will be judged on confidence (70%), creativity (20%), and obedience to rules (10%).
