Over the long weekend, the online sphere was hit by a storm–Dreamscape Digital just dropped the official trailer of the new film, Glorious, featuring the unlikely pairing of acclaimed actress Angel Aquino and one of today’s boldest actors Tony Labrusca.
The trailer showcases Labrusca and Aquino in steamy scenes portraying a May-December love affair between a 50-year-old woman and a young man in his twenties, set against the cold, breezy spots in Baguio.

The trailer, in its online release, reportedly had 1 Million views in its first three hours and has continued to balloon as more and more online viewers witnessed the sneak peek of some of the passionate scenes between the leads.
As the trailer went viral, award-winning singer, actress and stage performer, Lea Salonga, shared with the frenzy. In a Tweet, she called Glorious the “sexiest trailer she has seen in a long time.”

Directed by Connie S. Macatuno, Glorious is set to be streamed exclusively at iWant TV on November 17. This isn’t the first time that a story of the romance between an older woman and a younger man is put on centerstage but with the interest by the public the barely two-minute trailer has collected, the movie is looking to be an important instigator of dialogue about this social and cultural issue.
Aquino is seen at her best, evoking the troubled and confused woman who fell in love with a man who would test her courage of conviction. Labrusca, on the other hand, shines and continues to be an actor of promise, taking on difficult roles that go beyond the matinee-idol handbook. The last film he was seen in, he played a demented athlete suffering from split personalities in Double Twisting Double Back.
As of press time, the trailer has reportedly amassed over 7 million views.
