Philippine music channel, MYX, welcomes a new era of personalities set to steer the wheel for Filipinos’ aural adventures as it formally announced its five new VJs—young celebrities and reality show graduates Edward Barber, and Ylona Garcia, and the winners of the recently-concluded MYX VJ Search 2019 namely Anton Fausto, Aya Fernandez, and Dani Mortel.

The channel has also formally introduced its latest online playlist hub, All Music MYX, a new YouTube channel purely devoted to MYXclusive musical performances from Pinoy and international acts. All Music MYX includes fresh and throwback vids from the channel’s extensive archive, making it a leading music source in the country today.

Debuting on All Music MYX is the all-new MYX Live! where viewers can watch out for new episodes dropped every Thursday before it reaches its television premiere every Sunday at 8pm. This season promises a diverse list of performers from Franco, Shanti Dope, IV Of Spades, and Kyline Alcantara.

In a recent media conference held in ABS-CBN, MYX formally welcomed “Hiwaga ng Kambat” star and now VJ Edward who is all set to employ his hosting skills while introducing videos and hosting special segments on the channel.

According to Barber, he’s been eyeing the MYX VJ job for quite some time, saying, “I wanted to join MYX after I guested as a MYX Celebrity VJ a couple of years ago. I just didn’t have the chance or the guts to do it until now!” The Fil-German heartthrob continued, “I’ve always been a shy person, and until now I still am. Hosting is so far out of my comfort zone but I realized it’s something I want to work for.”

Singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia, meanwhile, adds video jock to the many hats she wears as she is set to embrace the challenges in various MYX shows.

“I’ve always admired VJs because they’re all about bringing good energy. The type of host I’d love to be is super chill and nothing but good vibes,” she shared.

As a budding musician herself, VJ Ylona would love to interview her idols like Billie Eilish, Christina Aguilera, The Weeknd and Kanye West. “Mostly just to ask why they keep doing what they do and how they do it. And I am in absolute awe of their artistry,” she shared.

VJ Anton, a charming boy-next-door from Ateneo de Manila University, welcomes the opportunity to talk about his love for music as one of the newest MYX hosts. The former radio student jock interestingly joins the weekly podcast of his mom, bestselling author Rose Fres Fausto, on financial matters.

Beauty queen Aya is also ready to make her mark on the screens as a VJ. After being crowned Miss Tourism International at the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018, she went on to represent the country at the Miss Tourism International 2018 and proudly finished at the Top 5.

Lifestyle vlogger VJ Dani was featured on a billboard in Times Square, New York after winning the NYC Times Square Campaign for her series of self-produced online content. Both Aya and Dani graduated cum laude with a Broadcast Communications degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman,.

VJs Anton, Aya, Dani, Edward, and Ylona join the current roster of MYX VJs: Robi Domingo, Ai dela Cruz, and Samm Alvero.
